Transfers...

so this week was pretty sweet! i am finding out that i just really love spanish food! i mean like i havent had a dish yet that i didnt like! and so i tried my first attempt at making some spanish food this week! i dont know the name of the dish, but i had it at a members house and they told me how to make it. it is a drink/smoothie thing that consists of, Milk, Ice, Sugar, and Guanabana (soursop) pulp! and it is just super dang delicious! :) i had it every day this week for lunch! although it was an adventure to try and find guananbana pulp! but we did end up finding it in this little sketchy spanish supermarket! haha! it was super tiny and just JAMMED PACKED with stuff! all the people in there gave us weird looks though when 4 white guys in shirts and ties walk in!
but in other news...WE GOT TO GO TO THE TEMPLE!!!!! YEAH!!!! our whole zone got to go on friday morning at the glorious hour of 6 in the morning! Awww man i just love the temple so much! the spirit is so strong there! and it is a place where i can just pour out the desires of my heart without any other distractions coming into my head and just feel like god is so close and that he is actively listening to me there! i can literrally feel his presense! that experience just gave me a ton of motivation to get out there and teach the ENTIRE WORLD!!! :D :D AWESOME!!!
on another note: I need clint eastwood facts,so if anyone, can help that would be greatly appreciated!
we are also teaching this kid and he reminds myself so much of me! like he is super skinny and he loves soccer and the outdoors and he loves cars! i mean how much cooler can he get?! haha ;) and that makes me happy when i can say that he is following the steps of his older clone, and accepted the invitation to be baptized! whoo hoo! haha BUT...i wont be able to see his baptism because of transfers... :( :( i am getting transfered out of this area after 3 months...but hopefully the scripture in genesis 28:15 will come to pass,
"and behold i am with thee and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest and will bring thee        again into this land for i will not leave thee until i have done that which i have spoken to thee of"
so i will let all of yall know where the lord puts me next week! so until then, Hasta luego! :)

Happy Valentines Day!

So this week was a mixture of highs and lows. I found out that Johnny lingo is on the gospel library app! Talk about movie night after nightly planning! Haha my dad always said the line, "Mohanna you ugly!"
It always makes me laugh the way he says it! I also went on exchanges with elder Socarras, a missionary from Columbia. He is so cool and I
learned a lot of Spanish from him. But a cool story I had with him. We were tracting apartments when this huge storm hit! It was just dumping
buckets of rain! And there was lightning too! Like every couple of seconds a flash and a boom! We waited for it to stop but it kept getting worse. We had an appointment on the other side of the apartment complex, and we were going to be late! So amid the noise me and elder Socarras said a quick prayer of safety and then got on our
bikes And commenced the mad dash! It was so crazy! I couldn't even see
because of the water on my glasses! We were flying through puddles,

dodging trees, trying not to get hit by the bolts of lightning
flashing all around us! The whole bike ride was less than 2 minutes,
but we were soaked to the bone! Haha then we had a great lesson and
meal with a member and he took us home! Haha! Wow....epic. :) we also
had a valentines day party for the branch. We delivered invitations to
every single person in the branch! 26 homes for us on the north side!
And it was so helpful because we found out that half of the branch has
moved and the other half are going to different churches! (Not really
that extreme but a lot were and I figured that if everyone was active
then we would have to be a branch!) but the party was a huge success!
We had lots of less actives and non member friends come! But the best
part was this, remember back in Christmas when we had dinner with
Baptists?

they were there and they got a lot of good friendships with
branch members, and they invited us the missionaries over for dinner
again! Yay! But now the sad part... Our teaching pool of about 15
investigators shrunk to a considerably smaller size! We only have 2
investigators right now cuz everyone dropped us! Oh well the devil is
a sneaky guy but we have god on our side and so if we put our trust in
him he will lead us out of dark times. I love the one definition of
patience, to accept gods timing. I have full faith in him and in this
gospel!  Love you all and thanks for all of the support!

Happy Valentines Day!

Morgan went to "Sweethearts" dance tonight.  She looked just lovely.  She was asked by Tyler Compton her very good "boy" friend.  He is almost ready to put in his mission papers, so before you ask, he is a very good boy.  And he treats Morgan very well, and that is all we ask.

They went for their "day" date yesterday and Morgan convinced the group to go climbing.  She said it was and I quote, "The BEST date EVER!!!"  She finally found a guy to play with that is not afraid of heights, has some rappelling experience and is interested in learning to climb more.  And she was able to go with her best friend Madeline who went with her other BFF Jackson.  Hence the best date ever title.

Jeff and I went and got our taxes done for Valentines Day.  He took the day off, so we went and ran a bunch of errands, did taxes and took a nice nap.  Last night we went over to some friends home for a fondue night and games.  So hope you were able to do something fun with your significant other!  Have a great week-end.

By the way, we do the pose now for all of the dances.  Jeff's dad did this pose for all of his pictures when he was a youth.  So the kids started doing it and we just had to keep the tradition alive!

Another room down...  We have been slowly working on the little things that we neglected while building the house.  So the mudroom was next.  Jeff put up the shelves, and I just finished painting them, YEAH!  We changed the paint color and all the trim is white now.  We hit IKEA for a few storage options and voila, a newly organized mud room.  We are hopefully going to rotate the door this week-end so that it opens into the great room.  That will free up even more room in there.  We will keep you posted.

Wesley also sent this picture of the Orlando temple at night.  Needless to say, she was thrilled with the individual attention.  Have a wonderful week.
So this week we had our second baptism in the field! This guy worked
as a profiler for the military so he is super observant! He told me
everything about myself! Like.....EVERYTHING! Haha this guy is a champ
though! He is super prepared and has a really strong testimony! The
way that we met him was thru our fist baptism in our area! Michelle's
aunt started dating this guy and he ended up going to Michelle's
baptism and he saw the transformation that occurred. He really
respects the missionaries and we found out later that his family had
been trying to convert him for years! He is super funny and likes to
make you think! One of his questions to me was "how do you capture
somebody's attention as a missionary?" He told me that I haven't
figured it out yet so if you guys have any ideas that would be
helpful! Haha :) truly the scripture is true that great shall be your

joy when you bring one soul unto repentance! And it is true because
this is the happiest that I have been on my mission, and that has
really helped my testimony! I have all confidence in this man that we
baptized and it has brought me great joy seeing him change his life!
In fact he made me very proud when he showed up all of the other
members In our gospel principles class with his testimony and
knowledge of the gospel! Hoo rah! Hehe ;) but the work is progressing
down here and every week things get better and we are teaching more
people! I am so grateful to be a missionary right now in this
marvelous work!
